Introducing, Larta Ventures.

Our ventures team invests in promising founders and startups who are working to feed, fuel, and heal the world.

As a non-profit investor, our goal is to scale the impact of new ideas and innovations to foster a more sustainable planet. We reinvest our value creation back into future founders via Larta Institute’s non-profit incubator & accelerator programs.

Through our Venture Fellows program, we invest in diverse innovators to pilot good ideas that help communities become more resilient in response to the impacts of climate change. Our co-creation studio model invests resources and expertise in sustainability-focused ventures to prepare them for seed or Series A funding. We invest capital into impact-driven startups alongside our active funding network.

Investing in our Pipeline

Our Ventures team invests in founders and startups who have graduated Larta Institute's programs.

Our pipeline includes early-stage innovations that have received SBIR/STTR non-dilutive funding from U.S. federal agencies and then de-risked by Larta’s commercialization assistance programs.

We also invest in diverse & underserved innovators via Larta’s entrepreneur development programs, which are funded by our industry and foundation partners.

Funding Preparation

Our accelerator programs help early-stage startups get ready to raise funds.

As a non-profit organization, we operate a number of programs designed to help startups commercialize their ideas using non-dilutive funding from both government & private sources.

Larta is the contracted partner of the U.S. Department of Energy, helping recipients of SBIR Phase I grants to commercialize their innovations for impact.

Larta is the contracted partner of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, helping recipients of SBIR Phase I grants to commercialize their innovations for impact.

Larta is the contracted partner of NOAA, helping recipients of SBIR Phase II grants to commercialize their innovations for impact.

This accelerator program offers non-dilutive funding backed by the State of California, the SBA, and industry sponsors.

Larta’s Ventures Fellows program is a 9-month hands-on experience offering funding & support to help turn your idea into a scalable startup for impact on local communities.

Planet. People. Profit. Impact.

Our programs are designed to help create triple-bottom-line ventures, aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Our Selection & Investment Criteria

Our programs are designed to help create triple-bottom-line ventures, aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Since presenting at the Ag Innovation Showcase and introductions to key players within ag tech, we have raised tens of millions of dollars of institutional capital across multiple rounds of funding. This wouldn't be possible without Larta Institute.
