Larta is the partner of the DOE SBIR-STTR Program that provides Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) to Phase I awardees.

Program Overview

The DOE is dedicated to the successful commercialization of SBIR/STTR funded technologies and provides comprehensive commercialization assitance to all DOE SBIR and STIR Phase I awardees.

What to expect.

Gain Support from a Dedicated Expert

Collaborate with a dedicated ‘Lead Principal Advisor.’

Undertake Needs Assessment with a Dedicated Expert/Lead Principal Advisor (PA)

Collaborate with a dedicated Larta Lead “Principal Advisor” to assess your startup’s current needs & status and determine the most appropriate use of TABA funds for commercialization preparation.

Develop Your Commercialization Plan

Work with a dedicated market expert to create a ComPlan™ – the ‘Commercialization Plan’ is designed to outline how your early-stage invention will move from a research idea to a commercially-viable product in the marketplace.

Phase I awardees are required to submit a ‘Commercialization Plan’ as part of their Phase II SBIR/STTR applications. 

Larta uses a market-tested strategy to review commercialization plan modules as they are developed, identify, and help fill gaps which increase your chances of success.

Larta’s subject matter expert (Lead Principal Advisor) will work iteratively with the you to develop, test, and validate your Commercialization Plan that includes the market opportunity, company and team, competition and IP, and finance and revenue model.
