Technical & Business Assistance (TABA) for Phase II SBIR/STTR Grant Awardees

Larta offers a comprehensive program of Technical & Business Assistance (TABA) for startups who have received a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA).  

Program Overview

This program is dedicated to the successful commercialization of SBIR/STTR funded technologies and provides comprehensive commercialization assistance to all USDA SBIR and STTR Phase II awardees with Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) funds.

Who's Eligible?

All Phase I NIFA SBIR/STTR Phase II grantees 

Funding

$50,000 Phase II TABA awarded by USDA

Enrollment Deadlines

TABA funds to be requested with award application. Awarded 6-9 months after SBIR/STTR proposal submission.

Duration

12-24 months alongside Phase II grant program

Commitment

2-3 hrs per week, depending on the project scope and timeline

What to expect.

Commercialization Preparation

Based on the company near/long term goals and objectives, as well as team resources, Larta helps the company develop and execute on plans and activities critical to commercialization of the technology, topics relating to regulatory, reimbursement, IP, marketing, financial model, sales/distribution, etc.

Support from a Dedicated Expert

Collaborate with a dedicated ‘Lead Principal Advisor’ with support from other Principal Advisors as needed

Startup Education & Content

Access Larta’s library of resources, and attend monthly webinars with leading industry experts

Collaborate 1:1 with an expert Larta 'Principal Advisor' during the program. We have a team of 50+ highly experienced agriculture & food focused mentors.

Our programs are led by seasoned industry experts with deep sector knowledge. Each startup is assigned a dedicated Principal Advisor to guide their journey from idea to sustainable enterprise.
