Commercialization Assistance Program for SBIR Phase II Grant Awardees

Larta is the preferred partner of the U.S. Department of Energy. We offer a Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP) for SBIR Phase II Grant Awardees. The program is designed to prepare your startup for commercialization and market entry.

Program Overview

The DOE is dedicated to the successful commercialization of SBIR/STTR funded technologies and provides comprehensive commercialization assistance to all DOE SBIR and STIR Phase II awardees.

These additional funds are referred to as Technical and Business Assistance (TABA).

All DOE SBIR Phase II awardees.

Up to $50,000 “TABA” funds awarded by DOE

Enrollment Deadlines

Open enrollment after Phase II grant award

Duration

18-24 months alongside the SBIR Phase II grant

1-2 hours per week

What to expect.

Needs Assessment with a Dedicated Expert/Lead PA

Collaborate with a dedicated Larta Lead “Principal Advisor” to assess your startup’s current needs & status, and determine the most appropriate use of TABA funds for commercialization preparation.

Lead PA will also develop a road map and timeline for your Phase II engagement.

Commercialization Preparation

Based on your needs assessment, you will select one or several tools from Larta’s product portfolio – to help prepare your startup for commercialization and market entry. (41 commercialization services to select from, allocated budget worth 105 points)
You get a team of experts to deliver the selected services.

Collaborate 1:1 with an expert Larta 'Principal Advisor' during the program. We have a team of 70+ highly experienced cleantech & energy focused mentors.

Our programs are led by seasoned industry experts with deep sector knowledge. Each startup is assigned a dedicated Principal Advisor to guide their journey from idea to sustainable enterprise.
