The race to find solutions to our environmental problems is full of great entrepreneurs, but many times, the best ideas can come from people within our own community.

We’re thrilled to announce that Larta Institute, our 2023 Venture Fellow companies, Dream in Green and Marine Education Initiative, and our partner, Wells Fargo, were recently featured on Telemundo for our joint efforts to help communities become more resilient in response to the impacts of climate change.

Dream in Green, led by Barbara Martinez Guerrero, is empowering hundreds of South Florida students to tackle environmental challenges head-on. Through education and community engagement, they’re inspiring action against climate change and promoting sustainable practices.

Nicholas Metropulos and the Marine Education Initiative are also making waves with their innovative approach to agriculture. By utilizing aquaponics, they’re conserving water, preventing harmful chemicals from polluting our ecosystems, and providing fresh, locally-grown food to communities in need.

None of this would be possible without the generous support of the Wells Fargo Foundation and their commitment to fostering innovation and creating positive change in our communities through our Venture Fellows program.

We’re incredibly proud of our Venture Fellows and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such dedicated individuals. Together, we’re building a brighter, more sustainable future for generations to come.
