GS Research LLC.: Let’s Make Net Zero Energy Buildings Commonplace

We focus on cold climates & high energy cost locations.

The Company has developed R7 fixed windows and R9 daylight transoms that have 300-400% greater thermal resistance than state-of-the-art double pane in fixed aluminum frames, as found in most commercial buildings, yet cost $30 per square foot LESS.

The windows integrate with 24″ on center framing to double whole wall thermal resistance at no extra cost, safely eliminating headers, jack and cripple studs. The windows have been tested to national NFRC thermal/optical and AAMA 101 air/water/structure standards, with ICC-ES QA/QC review and code approvals.

The Company is actively looking for first revenue small new construction projects in predesignand opportunities to establish Makers Workshops in other locations beyond the Gulf Coast.

Equally innovative is the Company’s social impact production model where teen makers from disadvantaged backgrounds are paid Living Wages to assemble the patented multi-pane acrylic windows in a unique partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of the Gulf Coast. Sample windows and full size windows have been successfully made.

Continuing Education courses about the window + wall integration are available. A paper about the approach is expected to be given at the ASHRAE Buildings Conference in Clearwater in December.

Cooperative R&D with Oak Ridge National Labs is expected to optimize window+ wall ‘finite elements’ according to solar orientation and climate zone

My Principal Advisor assisted me greatly in building 'bottoms up' financial projections that have been continuously refined and are still being used day-to-day to guide the Company. The Larta library of videos offer a wide range of topics that have been useful in building the enterprise. Larta's counsel was indispensable in evaluating the enterprise and making the successful pivot.
