Food4All: we make it easy to connect

Where lovers of fresh local food and those who produce it come together

Inspired by our own challenges accessing local sustainably grown foods, Food4All was founded in 2015 with a commitment to connecting all who are thoughtful about food directly with producers. Our e-commerce platform enables small to mid-scale food producers and farmers markets to transact online and in person with consumers and wholesale buyers. Over 1,400 small producers across the US have registered accounts to sell using our technology. We make it easy to discover and engage with farmers and makers, so more people experience the richness and variety of fresh food and the benefits of a healthy, sustainable and vibrant lifestyle.

Food4All’s e-commerce platform is designed to provide food producers a direct connection to buyers. Producers can set up retail and wholesale stores as well as connect to online marketplaces, such as a food hub or farmers market, through a secure web application. Each online store is a dynamic web application where buyers can place orders and process cash, check, SNAP/EBT, or credit card payments. Our technology is modern, mobile, scalable and follows industry best practices for operational excellence, security, reliability, performance, cost optimization and sustainability.

Our core values are innovation, experience, partnership and service. We create solutions that ensure viability of small to mid-scale producers. The experience that we deliver is highly personal and engaging. We make the highly complex, highly human and usable for consumers and producers. Our technology is intuitive, simple, efficient, friendly, approachable and clean. We are collaborative, open and always looking for the win/win/win. We recognize that we only succeed if producers are successful AND buyers are delighted. We are dedicated to continuous service. We respond quickly and truly hear the needs of our customers.

Through this relationship, Larta has provided mentoring services which have helped to shape our business and funding strategy. I would highly recommend Larta to any SBIR company seeking TABA resources.

Food4All is fighting farmers’ Covid-19 marketing burnout with technology

Covid-19 may be wreaking havoc on the world; but when it comes to spurring a new bout of interest in local food, it has clearly been a boon. Even with the pandemic-driven increase in demand, small and mid-size farmers are still struggling to optimize production and figure out which markets are right for them. Between direct-to-consumer, farmers’ markets, food hubs, restaurants, hospitals, and other institutions, it can become overwhelming and create inventory tracking headaches.
